Born 22 or 23 October 1844 Henriette-Rosine Bernard in Paris, France.
Died 26 March 1923 in Paris, France, of kidney failure.

Affair with Belgian Prince Henri de Ligne; son, Maurice Bernhardt, born 1864.
Married Ambroise Aristide Damala, 1882; until Ambroise’s death, 1898.

Sarah Bernhardt was perhaps the most-popular stage actress of her time. Sarah made her first motion picture in 1900. Bernhardt worked for Louis Mercanton in 1912.
